I have no idea where this jump came from, but I went from having about 5-30 views a day to 100-200. The wordpress blog stats aren’t showing me details either, but it is showing me a graph. Check it out.
I think the traffic is dually owed to Google, Yahoo, and MSN searches but usually the blog stats report search keywords, and how they got here. I only have 5 hits from search engines/referrers. To say the least I’m confused, but I don’t really mind the traffic. I just hope they’re actual people that want to read my blog, not bots scanning because I have the keyword “iphone” a few times here and there.
Go traffic!

bryan, I had the same issue. But i have been working hard on doing the following things to generate traffic (that is users who will be loyal and want to read). As you ahve.
1. Read blogs, who read mine (example you)
2. Link to other blogs of similar nature
3. Post often, post short entries (time poor people)
4. Stay on topic (me – entrepreneurship)
5. Answer my comments
6. Original thinking, find good topics
7. Use acurate tags
8. Don’t moderate comments (exc spam)
9. Make it visual.
Hope this helps.
Steve
Every once in a while, my “total views”and “best day ever” drop really low, but they return to normal after a bit. It could be an error, but it shows each individual post getting views as well, so I’m not sure.
